The village of Mto wa Mbu is a green oasis in between dry savannah plains, close to Lake Manyara National Park. A tuktuk can take a maximum of 3 people and a tour by tuktuk allows for maximum flexibility. Tuktuks can pass through small streets and can stop anywhere you like. The tour leads past the village itself, then into the forest and past several farms and plantations. In one or two hours you will stop at a brewery, a local artist and a local school.
Lake Manyara National Park is an ideal place for a scenic safari, with landscapes such as acacia woodlands, jungle forests, mountain cliffs, and grassy areas. Its biodiversity makes it home to the amazing tree-climbing lions, but also to a variety of other animal species such as baboons, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and many more.
Gibb's Farm offers the old-age rhythm of an African farm and coffee plantation, right on the slopes of Ngorongoro Highlands. Today you descend into the wonderous caldera of the famous Ngorongoro Crater. This is THE day to start your game drive early when animals are plenty and tourists few!
